Shirley Jean Allen (Peterson) passed away December 1, 2010 in Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Allen, in 2004, her father Herbert and mother Marjorie. Servived by son Ryan Allen and his wife LoRena and their two children Shalynn and Treyvin of Iowa. Shirley is also survived by her daughter Mandy Sticht and her husband John and their children Joshua and Anessa of Phoenix. Shirley will be missed by her brother Dale and his wife Julia and brother Bruce and his wife Sue all of Stillwater.

I spent many hours in elementary school at Shirley's home. She and I were good friends then, playing in her yard and home. Her mother Marge and father Herb along with brothers Bruce and Dale. I see them in my mind's eye as we all were in those days, young as we were, filled with innocent. Living at the west end of town, with the city dump just down the way. We had open fields we played in and flew our kites. Dreamed childhood adventures, filling our days, riding our bikes, with a trip to one of the many small grocery stores to buy our penny candy. What fun we had playing with our dolls up in your bedroom Thank you dear friend I cherish you and have fond memories of those days.
