Susan Joan Eardley Johnson

Johnson, Susan Joan of Eden Prairie, MN, went peacefully home to the arms of her loving Lord and Savior on March 15, 2009 after enduring three years of battling cancer. She was many things to many loved ones in her lifetime. Born August 30, 1951 to Robert and Marion Eardley, Sue was a daughter of whom they were proud. She was a sharing sister, devoted wife to Brian, a beloved mother to Alicia and Brianne and a thrilled grandmother to Evelyn Sue. Through it all she maintained a smile whether she was shopping with her daughters, skiing with Brian, finding sand dollars on a Florida beach with friends, or fighting her cancer battle. Her sparkle was ever present. The abundance of love, joy and laughter she so readily shared with others was exceeded only by her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a delight and a spiritual role model for many, living each and every day trusting, praising and in thanksgiving to her Lord. Her heartfelt desire was that the torch of trust and faithfulness in God be passed on to her loved ones. Sue was preceded in death by her loving mother, Marion Eardley. She is survived by her devoted husband, Brian; two daughters, Alicia (James) Beaumaster and Brianne (Michael) Mangold; a delightful, new granddaughter, Evelyn Sue Beaumaster; one sister, Margaret (David) Eichten of Stillwater, MN; one brother, James (Nita) Eardley of Sand Springs, OK; seven nieces and nephews and dear friends, too many to list. A celebration of her life is planned for 10:30 AM Friday, March 20, 2009 at Prairie Lutheran Church, 11000 Blossom Road, Eden Prairie, MN. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie, MN. The family asks that memorials be directed to Prairie Lutheran Church.
